Terms and conditions

We know, even for cake.


Allergens
Allergies/intolerances is something we take seriously. Keeping you safe while enjoying our bakes is the most important thing to The Flour Power Bakery.
Our kitchen handles gluten, nuts, eggs and 
dairy products. Other allergens may also be present in our kitchen. For this reason, although we put measures in place to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any of our products, including our dairy and gluten free bakes do not contain traces of these products or other allergens. Therefore, our products are not suitable for those with serious food allergies in order to preserve your safety. Please inform us upon order of any allergies as advised in the 'additional information' section on the request form(s).

ordering your bakes
A 50% deposit is required to secure your order. This deposit is not refundable. The remaining balance is payable via bank transfer before the date of collection, or in cash upon collection.
We are more than happy to facilitate bespoke cake requests not otherwise outlined on our menu. Larger celebration cakes are available upon request - please contact the bakery to discuss and receive a quote. Please note that we do not sell tiered cakes at this time.
We generally require at least 7 days notice, however last minute orders may be facilitated dependent on availability. Again, please contact us to discuss.


Collecting your bakes
We will get in contact with you once we receive your request form via the website for your chosen goodies. We will confirm your order, arrange payment of the deposit and discuss collection date and time. Our bakes will only leave the premises upon receipt of the final balance being paid. You cannot pay after you have left with your bakes. Also, please try to ensure that you have the correct amount if paying in cash upon collection, as we cannot always guarantee we will have the exact change.
If a third party is collecting your order please let us know prior to the collection time.
When transporting your cakes please make sure they remain flat to prevent any damage while in transit.
 Putting them on the seat puts your bakes at risk of falling and getting squished. They will still taste as good, but you want them to look good too, right? If your goodies include buttercream/fresh cream/fresh fruit etc. we would recommend keeping the car cool and out of direct sunlight. We suggest keeping transporting your bakes in the footwells/boot to ensure they arrive at your destination safely.

Delivery
Local delivery may be available for large orders (i.e. events) upon request for a fee. The condition of the cake(s) will be approved by the customer upon delivery.
A delivery date and time will be agreed by both parties. If the customer is not at the location at the date and time specified and we are unable to contact the customer, the order will be returned to the bakery and it will be the customer's responsibility to collect. The associated delivery charge will not be refundable under these circumstances.


Storage
Best storage of our bakes may vary -  any cakes with buttercream, whipped cream, or fresh fruit (including cupcakes and cake pops) should be stored in the fridge. Cakes without buttercream/whipped cream/fresh fruit may be kept out of the fridge in an airtight container.
Our bakes are at their best whilst fresh, so we recommend consuming within 3 days. However, if you want longer to eat your bakes, or have leftovers (HAHA, leftovers...) you can freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months.


Unforeseen circumstances
In the rare event that we are unable to complete your order, due to employee illness or any other unforeseen circumstance, which results in the cancellation of your order, the deposit will be refunded within seven (7) working days of notifying you.

Cancellations/refunds/postponement
If you require your order to be cancelled, please be reminded that deposits are non-refundable. Also please note that if less than seven (7) days notice is given for the cancellation of an order, any remaining outstanding balance will need to be paid, and no refunds will be given. If notice given is more than seven (7) days before the agreed collection date, a refund may be given excluding the initial deposit and cost of any supplies already purchased for your order.
Refunds will be provided within 30 days of cancellation.

The bakery are not liable to any damages/accidents/mishaps following collection/delivery, and in these instances a refund will not be provided. The bakery take photos of orders prior to receipt by the customer as proof of quality.
If for any reason you require your order to be postponed to a later date, please contact us immediately. A new date will be subject to availability.

publication
We reserve the right to use any image of a product made by us for publication at a later date. If your cake is a gift/surprise and would prefer images to not be published until a certain date, please contact the bakery directly before your collection date to request this.
